A little bit about me...

My name is Zach Adams, born and raised in Moore County, NC. To give you an idea of what my early education was like, I attended Farmlife Elementary School. And to further paint a picture of my early days, I grew up with four older sisters and a younger brother. Needless to say I had an eventful childhood. I feel the madness that comes standard with having five siblings has shaped me into man I am today. If you ever visit Pinehurst, ask about the Adams family.

After attending Union Pines High School and the NC School of Science and Math, I was accepted to NC State University, as well as a few other Universities including UNC. I respectfully declined my invitation to UNC, as I had plans for bigger and better things at NC State. I enrolled at State in the Fall of 2003, and have loved every moment since in this great community. I am enrolled in the University Scholars program and have the honor of being a Ben Franklin Scholar, majoring in Industrial Engineering and Economics. I am also the IE Faculty Senior Scholar.

I have been involved in a number of activities at State such as rowing for the crew team, active membership in Sigma Chi fraternity, and a committed member of Student Government. My specific experiences in Student Government are listed on my service to NC State page, but to sum up my service, I have been an engaged representative of the student body. I despise the bull that we deal with so much in senate and am passionate about restoring the focus of Student Governments most basic and important function: to advocate for the interests of the student body.
